It had been six hours since he finally collapsed there and he was just now beginning to stir. He reached out and grabbed a hold of the coffee table. Finch tried to place one foot on the floor and raise himself from the couch, but he lost his hold and tumbled onto his side. He let out a loud grunt as the bottle and glass dug into his back. An angry toss sent it crashing into the wall. He was trying to clear his head as he sat on the floor; finally Finch rolled onto his knees and crawled to the bathroom.

Bloodshot eyes stared back from the mirror, perched above dark circles and hollow cheeks. Finch splashed cold water in his face. It didn’t do much. The drugs and the liquor only helped for a while. He knew he would have to go in and face his employees sooner or later; or at least he should. Though, doing what he should had never been his strong point. No, he would do what he did best, hide from the problem and let someone else handle it. What did it matter, the situation was beyond saving anyway. He walked back into his kitchen and got a glass of water.
